ARC'TERYX COMMUNITY IMPACT
WHERE WE’VE BEEN
Arc'teryx is a brand born and raised in the Coast Mountains of BC, on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) people. These mountains have been protected and tended by Indigenous communities since time immemorial, and we're grateful every day for the opportunity to spend time in these powerful places.
We are grounded in the game-changing goodness of time spent outdoors.
Our grant program started modestly in 2018, in our home-town of Vancouver, and over the next 8 years, expanded in scale and scope. In 2025, we offered $5000 grants to 76 recipients spanning 22 regions and 4 countries, for community-led initiatives to make outdoor spaces and activities more welcoming to more people. In addition to those supported in the grant program, from 2023-2025 we worked with over 50 organizations on longer term initiatives and partnerships.
In 2026, we are shifting from a wide-net approach towards more impactful relationship building with grants of $10,000 - $50,000 on offer to support snow, trail and climb oriented work.
We know that to have an impact we need to build long-term relationships where we can be in trusting conversations. As we move forward, we're focusing on partnering with fewer organizations in deeper, more intentional ways. We’re mutually leveraging what we know best and what you know best, to effect lasting and positive change in outdoor culture as a space for growth and inspiration that welcomes all.
WHO WE’RE CALLING IN
We envision an empowered outdoor community where everyone can safely and joyfully experience the transformational power of the outdoors.
We’re looking for friends who play in the same Mountain-sized sandbox as us -- climb, trail and snow sports, and are passionate about access to the mountains, climate and circularity action, or skilling up the community. You practice positive change-making from the ground up.
We will be shifting to an invite-only grant model, allowing our team to do the proactive work of identifying groups that are the best fit, bringing new partners in and welcoming back previously funded ones.
If you are serving Indigenous, Métis or Inuit, with land-based projects designed to build connection and cultural revitalization, reach out to communityimpact@arcteryx.com to learn about Walk Gently Grants. Through Walk Gently partnerships, we lend lift to communities and organizations that directly support Indigenous connection to the land. This is one step toward shifting mindsets in the outdoor industry to embrace more culturally-aligned, reciprocal and Indigenous-centred ways of being on the land.
